Photo Analysis

There are three variables of photography, they are camera angle, lighting, and proximity.

Camera angle is how the camera is placed, authors use this to change the way people look at the image. Like if it is above the subject to show what the subject is doing, or if it is like at eye level to make it seem more formal and professional.

Lighting is how the lights a placed and how bright or low it is, authors use this to change the way the picture looks to the person looking at the picture. Like they can make it dark and scary, or they can make it bright and seem happy.

Proximity is how close the camera is, authors use this to make the picture seem more nicer or if they want to make it seem ore dramatic. Like some authors would do what's called an 'extreme close-up' to make the picture focus on the subject and make is look nicer, or they can do a 'medium long' shot to show all the things and make it see more dramatic depending on whats happening in the picture.

1950 ... Mr. Ike!

I think the author would like us viewers to feel that Mr. President Eisenhower is a good leader.

The camera angle that the author used would be eye level, I would say the author used this kind of angle because the author would like to make Mr. President Eisenhower look like he is a leader and responsible person.

The lighting that the author used would be lit from the side and lit from above. The author used these kinds of lighting to make him stand out more and to make him seem like he is a leader.

The proximity that the author used would be 'medium long'. The author used this proximity to show us that he isnt a lazy President, by that I mean like if he's just sitting it would be like he doesn't really talk with the people and all he does is sit there, having him stand shows that he is willing to talk to everybody and will always be helping everybody.

The picture is effective by making me feel that  he is a good President. I feel like he was a really good President and he was very loyal to everybody.

"Party Rock Anthem-Kia Soul Hamster Commercial"

This advertisement is about the car brand, Kia, and about the famous song writers, LMFAO. They have used LMFAO's song, Party Rock Anthem. The advertisement first starts with like a war going on, then a random Kia Soul car shows up and interupts the fight. Then there are these three hamsters that get out of the car and then start shuffling to the song "Party Rock Anthem" by LMFAO, then everybody else starts shuffling too and the hamsters then just drive off leaving everybody shuffling.

The techniques of persuasion that I think are used in this commercial are the following;

Humor - The three Hamsters shuffling to Party Rock made me laugh a lot.

Nature -  The war was like in a deserted town.

Cartoon - The Hamsters and the other characters that were fighting.

I would say Humor is the most dominant technique used in the commercial because just having three hamsters shuffling and then having everybody else that were fighting join in too was really funny.

I would say they used Humor because usually having people laugh gets attention, Nature to show that the car is able to drive off road, and Cartoon because having another one of those commercials just showing the car driving around would be boring, so they switched it up and made it Hamsters driving.

I would say this commercial is pretty good at persuading the viewer because the commercial is very unique and funny. But I don't think the viewer would be thinking about the car that much. I'm pretty sure the viewer would be to interested in the dancing and driving Hamsters.

Techniques of Persuasion

The most commonly used techniques of persuasion are;

Friends - A group or groups of people having fun together with their friends, usually doing fun stuff together.

Fun - Everybody is having a good time, lots of smiling. Usually pictures of people together having a good time doing fun things.

Nature - Mountains, trees, ocean, rivers, etc. Sometimes has people in the event.

Sexy - Focuses on physical attributes of models; usually females. The females may usually be wearing revealing clothes or be shown flirting through body language or the way they act.
